PHOTOGRAPHY – MOTION – DESIGN

My name is A.J. Leitch and I work in creating and delivering Visual Goods.

As for where I’m physically located… just outside of Toronto, to the north-west-ish.  If you want to talk about hiring me for a project, whatever the size or scope, give me a shout and we’ll figure something out.

Services (a.k.a. “What goes into VISUAL GOODS?”)
PHOTOGRAPHY | MOTION DESIGN | ON-LINE EDITING | CREATIVE DIRECTION
Gear & Software

Gear is great but it’s always changing… the main idea is that the talent gets the job done, and equipment is secondary.  When we discuss a job we figure out what will be needed and we go from there. But if your curious & you really just want to know what i’m using… well here you go:

Canon 5D MkII, with cool lenses, flashes and other gadgets plus the internet (to rent whatever is needed to get the job done)

MacPro | Blackmagic Decklink 3D Extreme HD | Flanders Scientific LM-2140W Monitor | Tons of hard drive space

Adobe Master Collection CS6, Lightroom 4, Final Cut Pro, DaVincci

Avid|DS is what I initially started out on, and I still on-line with the DS for current clients.

Current Projects

Right now I’m working for a few clients on a continuing basis. One project being “We Live Soccer” airing on FOX Soccer and GOLTV Canada. I am the Creative Director and Online Editor for the series which is entering it’s 2nd season (as of 2012).

I’m the Online Editor for a number of series for Re:Source Media, a majority of which can be seen on CNBC World.

I shoot promotional photography for a number television programs. Check out the portfolio for some examples.

I also do numerous on-line, graphic design and editing projects for a number of series and documentaries produced by Stornoway Productions and Breakout Educational Network. During the summer of 2008 I had the opportunity to work as an editor and graphic designer on an incredible documentary by Paul Saltzman that featured Morgan Freeman. Prom Night In Mississippi was an “official selection” and critically acclaimed at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, and is currently under the HBO Documentary Films umbrella.

If you have any questions about what I do, feel free to e-mail me at any time.

Thanks for stopping by.
